yay for MT

Well, MT got installed today thanks to my best good cousin. Alot of things have changed since I last used it. I still don't know wtf a 'widget' is. I found a decent looking template and decided to put some personal touches on the CSS. It's alot harder to do that in notepad instead of Dreamweaver. Hopefully soon I'll have the picture-a-day page up. It's there.. but not working how I want it to. I wish that girl at Quixotic Pixels still had her templates up. It had some nice, simple ones that were very pretty. I'll dig around and play with it tomorrow. It's supposed to rain so I'm sure I'll have time.

Way past the bedtime. I watched too much tv tonight!

To make sure I've got this part fixed:

What We Eatin' Tonight?

I hear that every night and sometimes, since I'm a filthy-minded person, I'll answer,"Pussy!" Well, yesterday it looked like we really WERE going to have pussy for supper! Oh those crazy critters.

Once again!

Thanks to Rod *waves* Still-Frame Theater is finally running how I want. Well, sort of. The pictures are awfully small and I think I can change that but right now, I'm far to lazy to attempt it. But as a fair warning, it's not very Internet Explorer friendly. It looked screwed up when I checked it with IE. But, if you're still using IE, God damn you outta date, boy! Foxfire's the way to go!

I finally finished weeding the asparagus bed. In one of those pictures you can see me sitting on it before it got cleaned out. Now it's nothing but a big pile of dirt. The cats love to shit in it.

For the second time this week, I've failed to win the Powerball. I had a dream Tuesday night that I was telling someone that we didn't have to worry about money no more.. Wow that was almost straight out of Forrest Gump. Anyway, I bought a ticket for the Wednesday drawing. Lost. Then we bought 5 more for lastnight's drawing. Lost. If I ever did win the Powerball, there's be a lot of people that wouldn't have to worry about money no more. I just want my car, house and computer paid off! And the hospital bills. Ohh ohh and I'd build a garage. and fence the yard in. and maybe take a trip.

This here's a fly. They're aren't very amusing but if you look at his wings, they're pretty! And he has a nice shadow.

Nice Day

Went riding on the backroads to day. Had a blast. Then stopped off at McD's for a Happy Meal, came home and had a picnic on the deck. Got all of my morning glory, sunflower and moonflower seeds planted today. I hope they live. Morning glories are so pretty. Too bad I won't get up early enough to enjoy them.

Everyday, Kara does things to amuse me. Today she woke up from her nap (she didn't know I was in the room) and looked all around on my table for something to get in to. She picked up my discman and started talking to "Harry Pottah". She just sat there and had a whole conversation with a discman! "Uhhhhh Harry Pottah. Uhhhhh Harry Pottah. Nite nite nicken." Atleast now I know I'm not the only one that wakes up talking to Harry Pottah.

Today was Casey's birthday. He's 32! I'm such a horrible wife.. All I got him was a card and some strawberries to plant.

I also changed SFT to show new pics at 600px wide instead of 480. I could barely see the 480w pics and the 600 isn't much better on my eyes but atleast I can see a little more. Maybe I should go a smooth 800x600 and upload full quality pics. Screw the dialupers! I think I was the last person on dialup anyway.

Going to bed early! And remember kids, sit up straight and eat your beans.

Stupid!

At first I thought this was good, but the more I looked at it, I think I'm dumb!

Zoo Day

We had a lot of fun today. Kara had a blast at the zoo. We also went to Toys 'r Us. That can be a tiring place when you're chasing after an excited kid.

Greybaby Had Babies!

Greybaby had her babies today! Six of them.. and they are really cute. I bought her a new house today. It's a huge doghouse but really nice for a kitty to live in. More like a kitty mansion. Last year someone had babies under the house and the ants ate them. She had these in a box that was on the deck to be hauled off. Like we need more cats, but I'm such a cat lover. err, feline lover? Cat person.. That sounds better.

We also went to a tool sale today. I can't think of anything to say about it because it was just a tool sale.. Tools.. neat.

Beautiful Creatures

moth.jpg

I saw this little guy flying lastnight near the cypress tree. I was so happy! I was pointing at it and telling someone (prolly just talking to myself) that I could get Jeffery out of the icebox finally. I sat out side about an hour ago and watched the lightning flash and the possum eat and looked around for this guy to fly by again. He never did. Until a few minutes ago when I heard the cat beating something up. I went out side and kicked the kitty away so the moth could get away but it just kept flying all crazy like in the same place. So I picked him up to see if he was alright. He wasn't. He only had two legs left and he was missing the lower half of his body. I took his picture, let him fly out of my hand and came inside so the cats could put the poor little fellow out of his misery. Fucking cats. Maybe I should keep Jeffery in the icebox forever! Nah. When I hatch him out, I'll take him down to the pond to live.

The Eagle Flies on Thursday!

So to celebrate the we took a nice family trip to Walmart. I had to get a few things anyway. Needful things. But we ended up blowing way too much. They had a sale on car DVD players so we finally got one. I told Kara that Santa would get her one for Christmas last year but he was a little broke at the time. It's got a nice little 7 inch display screen, a place to hook up the playstation, car and home power adapters. Nice little package. She saw it in the buggy and started talking about Harry Potter. She LOVES him. And then her grandma got her scared to death of Mad-eye Moody. Now everytime he comes on screen, she'll start yelling 'NO' and jump in my lap. Poor little girl. Since Mom pointed out his weird eye to her, if she ever sees anyone in public with a screwed up eye, I'm sure she'll be screaming, hollering and peeing herself.. Speaking of Kara, she's now off the bottle!

Normal Weekend

What a nice weekend! I got a few more flowers planted and got another flowerbed cleared out. Now to find something to put there... Nothing exciting happened though. Went riding Friday. Planted stuff Saturday. Cleaned house Sunday. and bought groceries.

Kara picked me some weeds! When she finally gave them to me they were limp with most (all) of the petals gone. Was a sweet gesture though. Even though they were in a pathetic state, I put them in a vase anyway.

On a sadder note, I found Black Betty's dead babies the other day. It was really depressing. That cat pisses me off. She's back out trying to get screwed by that cat that fell out of the tree. He's a stray cat that shows up during cat-hump season. Fucker.

1am already!? Time for me to hit the bed.

*sigh*

Anyone who knows me knows I love games. I've been playing video games for damn near 20 years! 20 years! Surely there's some help for me out there. For Christmas, my husband (who hates games) got me a GBA and Final Fantasy V Advance. I finally finished FFV after slowly playing it for a month or 2. Spent most of my time leveling characters. A few days ago I got a new game. It was cheap and on sale. Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban. After about 4 hours of leisure play, I finished it. I was so disappointed. Either I'm damn good or it was damn easy.

Spongebed

This week has been both great and shitty at the same time. Great because we got a lot of things done but shitty because of the damn pollen. I can't breathe. My ears are stopped up. I hear a constant roar. It sounds like I have my head stuck in a waterfall. I can't sleep. Not because I can't breathe, but somehow, and I'm not really sure how it happened, Kara has moved into our bed... And she doesn't sleep like a normal human. She has to have some part of her body touching me and it's usually her fuzzy head. Or her bony knees.

Did I say we got a lot done this past week? Well, that was a lie now that I think of it. We didn't really get anything done except get Kara her own bed. And it's a nice bed! She's got a cute little Spongebob comforter on it and it's so comfy. Does she like it? No. She's freakin' scared of it. She's also scared of ELMO. If she sees ELMO, she starts screaming and crying. Is she the only child in the world that's afraid of a talking puppet? Soooo being the terrible parent that I am, I put ELMO under the kitchen cabinet to keep her out of it. I can always tell when she tries to get under there because I'll hear a little scream. As long as it keeps her safe and out of the plastic bags' way, I guess he can live there for a while.

Oh a brighter note, she's almost potty trained! And it has been so easy. She tee-tee's for cat treats! "Mommy! Tee-tee Bippy Teets!" Translation = "Mother, I just urinated in/around the plastic potty and I want a Flippy treat for my efforts." No, she does not eat them. She just wants to feed my overweight cats. However, she does still occasionally hunker up and shit the floor.

Well, I was going to put up a picture of her cute new bed but the Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. Ah well. Maybe later then.

Oh yay. It's working again.
