Not Biting the Bullet

I finally did it. My house dog, Fatty, died several months ago. More like a year ago. Yesterday, I got a brand new house dog! Her name is Molly and she's a very friendly girl. We went to the animal shelter in Monroe yesterday to look for a small dog that would do well in the house. There were so many dogs there. Lots of huge ones and many, many puppies. Puppies that were smaller than my hand! How could something that tiny and cute be homeless? Even though it was raining, the dogs would come out of their houses just to have their noses patted. When we first walked in the place, I knew Molly was the one. She came out wagging her tail and hopping around in her cage. So we got her. And she's such a good dog. She's a wire fox terrier and about a year old. Even though we helped her out by adopting her from a shelter, I still feel a little guilty for not getting an ugly un-adoptable dog.. But on a brighter side, there were 3 dogs and a kitten adopted (including ours) in the hour we were there. Good luck to the Brady Bunch. They really were cuties.
