I decided to get an extended warranty on my nice computer. I thought it deserved it. I've been getting letters and emails about the warranty expiring at the end of the month. So When Kara took a nap Friday, I called Dell.

"Hi Dell! I'd like to get an extended warranty!" I say.

He looks up my account and asked me if I want 3 or 4 year. I chose the 3 year and he said that was good because they were having a deal going on with that and I could get it for the low price of $299.00. WTF? I asked him if there was a 1 or 2 year deal going on too. Of course there wasn't.

He says, "Would you like to put this on a credit or debit card?" Gee, you mean pinestraw isn't an optional means for payment?

Anyway, long story short - if you ever need to get an extended warranty on computer, you're going to have to pay for it. And I mean REALLY pay for it. It's not like the extended warranty on an iPod that's only 30 bucks either. If I didn't have a little terror running around this house that couldn't break it, I wouldn't have got it. Lesson learned.

Hey! You know what I've been wanting to do lately!? I've been wanting to get all kinds of goodies like chips with M&M's mixed in with them, JrMints, popcorn and Milk Duds and watch a movie. And Dr.Pepper. Just sit there, watch an entire movie and eat. A scary movie with the lights off! AND! Have the air set on 'cold' instead the energy saving 80' that it's usually on. Wouldn't that be nice? and, did you notice, I didn't mention anything illegal there! Anyone can do this and maybe one day I'll get to do it.

Another little thing everyone with a Tivo should know: A Belkin Wireless-G Network Adapter is NOT compatible with a Tivo Series 2. Also, Tivo Desktop is not compatible with Vista. I'm sure it can be forced to work but I haven't tried it yet.

Those freakin' booger-bears are disturbing my sleep! As everyone should know, booger-bears are blue and look like the cat. Maybe that's what makes them so darn scary. This afternoon when I was *trying* to get Kara to take a nap was a horrible time. She flopped, played with her toes, played with her doll, played with pillow tags, poked my eyes, pinched my nose, rubbed Mommy's tattoo, knocked on the wall, picked Spongebob's nose, picked HER nose, licked my elbow, gave me about 20 kisses,hugs,eskimo's and noggins then put my head in some weird position where my nose was in her armpit, which surprisingly smelled like syrup, and told me "Mommy touch it armpit!". All that plus some more happened in about an hour of laying there in bed. She tried to sneak off the bed and I sat up and said really quick "WHERE-ARE-YOU-GOING!?" Well, she hollered "BOOGER-BEAR!" then flopped down flat on the bed and was asleep within 5 minutes. Then I'm left laying there wondering where the hell that booger-bear is. Is it on the ceiling like they are in the movies? After laying there thinking about that for a while, I couldn't go to sleep. Just like last night when I was STILL awake at 4am. I was flopping, playing with my toes, playing with my doll... nah! Just kidding! I just couldn't go to sleep. I finally got up at 3:30am and washed my hair in the kitchen sink. I thought about eating some cereal but remembered that I was trying to develop an eating disorder. Yeah, it's going pretty badly. To get to the quick of it, I went to sleep at 4am-ish and got up around 9am. The point of this? I have no idea.

But! If you have a friend or loved one that ever leaves an iPod outside in the flooding rain, there is hope! You can put it in a bag of rice to draw out the moisture! I'm sure silica gel would work better but I had to throw mine away when I kept getting the silica pack confused with my pack of pretzel salt. I get lots of things confused though.. Like that time I took the dog's medicine! Oh I'm sure in about 20 years I'll look back on that day as one of those 'fond memory' days.

And um, I better go cause I have no idea wtf I'm talking about anymore. lawlz

I'm tired of these motherfuckin' ants in this motherfuckin' house.

They are everywhere. I've smooshed a whole army of them to bits while their friends watch. I've squirted dish soap on them. I've sucked them up with the vacuum. I've put little roach motels out for them. I've washed them down the drain. I've sprayed them with Easy-off BAM!. I guess the next step would be POISON. And that is the one I was trying to avoid. I don't wanna spray poison all in the kitchen. That's where we eat and play! Or maybe I can try fly traps.. I've been leaving a few little corner spiders alive to help out in the murder of the ants. They do a really good job but they work slow. Since the spiders have helped, they shall live out the rest of their lives in my corners. Maybe I should but up a little dirt jar motel with free food and water in it and the ants will stay in the jar. Like an open ant farm. I've had one of those before. They lived in a flower pot but eventually killed the flower in it.

Darn. I hear thunder. That means the internet will soon be gone. Da clowdz ar in da ayr blockin' muh 'net.

As every kid knows, Deathly Hallows is being released tomorrow. Well, tonight at 12:01am. 12:01am.. That rings a bell.. Oh yeah. I was in line getting Burning Crusade at 12:01am one night! But this book I ordered with the guarantee of getting it on the day of release. Amazingly, it's already in Ruston just waiting in a box until they decide to drop it by my house tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be one of those things you have to sign for. I'll probably be taking Fatass to the vet tomorrow sometime between 8-12. I noticed lastnight he was peeing outside of his litterbox and there was blood in it. He's acting fine. I remember when Simba was peeing blood, he was acting all pathetic and screaming. After I had his genitals removed so the stones would pass easier, he's only had that problem twice since. and he had that surgery, urethrectomy, about hmmm 5 or 6 years ago. Both times it was 3am and he was screaming in pain trying to pee. So, being the freak I am, I sterilized a homemade catheter, catheterized him, emptied his bladder completely and got him comfy enough to wait to see the vet later that morning. Anyway, did I just go off topic? I was talking about Hawwy Pottah. Yeah, it comes out tomorrow and everyone has their little thoeries about it. So! Here's a couple of mine!
1) Either Harry or Ron, but not both, will die because of something said at Christmas dinner in PoA.
2) Scrimgeour is indeed a vampire. because Luna says so!
3) Severus = A-otay! Just cause Harry thinks he is evil, doesn't make it law.
4) Is Albus Dumbledore really dead? He does have a twin brother, Aberforth. Yeah, A Dumbledore is dead, but which?
5) Someone comes into powers late in life. I think it's Dudley.
6) Regulus Black got the Slytherin locket (horcrux) and took it back to 12 Grimmauld Place. After Regulus was killed, Kreecher got the locket and still has it.
7) I think I'll just stop here because OMG now people know I read Harry Potter.

I better not get any emails, whether it be text or something drawn in MS Paint, telling me when/how Harry died! and I won't be looking at anything on the internet that could possibly lead to a Hawwy Pottah spoiler.

This weekend was amazingly short. On Saturday, Deathly Hallows came in. Sunday afternoon I went with Casey to see the Order of the Phoenix and on Sunday night I finished the book. Which was a great book. So now I'm going to into the juicy details of it. Not really. I know if I do, Rod will cut me. So I'll just say that I was right about a few things, close to right about others and completely wrong about several. The end did leave a few questions though; what happened to ______, what happened to _______ and what happened to ______? and what about _______? I'd like to read parts of it again to see if maybe I skipped something but with limited weekday time to read I may not be able to. Is there someone nice enough to get me an audiobook? If you don't, I may cut you.

Now that books and movies are over, I think it's time I cleaned house.

Hello, do you have a cat? Well, these Whiska Temptations might be what they've been looking for. I've gotten these things several times so I could spoil my already overweight cats with but for the last few months, I haven't seen them on the store shelf. Yesterday, they were back! I grabbed up a small bag and headed on back home. Before bed lastnight, I gave each kitty 3 squares. Well, Fatass got 4 squares because I got out too many. This cat, blind as he may be, has spent the last few days laying around and not moving. I've even had to go over to poke on him a few times to make sure he wasn't dead. But this morning, I wake up and nearly trip over Fatass and Cutie when I open the bedroom door. (Cutie's inside now because she got spayed a few days ago.) Fatass blindly leads me back to the kitchen where Flippy is sitting guard over a bag of treats on the bar. ok ok ok. I gave them a few treats each and went about my morning business. and now Flippy is STILL on the bar and Fatass is STILL pestering me for more treats. It's like crack for cats. The only cat that's acting normal is Simba. And I think that's because I couldn't find him when I was passing out treats. aww Fatass just tried to jump on a table.. Better luck next time, kitty.
